Cornering Lights

Cornering lights.

To improve visibility during night driving, some vehicle manufacturers provide cornering lights Figure 39-25. Cornering lights are white lights usually installed into the bumper or fender and are designed to provide side lighting when the vehicle is turning corners. The additional lighting provided by cornering lights helps the driver to see the curb and any obstacles that may not be illuminated by the headlights. Cornering lights turn on only when the headlights and turn signal switches are on, and turn off automatically when the turn signal cancels. Even though they come on with the turn signals, their light is steady; that is, they don’t blink.
