Heating effect of electricity.

Heat is not always bad. Sometimes we need to create heat, such as in circuit breakers and heaters Figure 36-20. As current flows through motor vehicle circuits, most of the electrical energy is transformed into other kinds of energy. Headlights transform the energy into intense heat that then makes the bulb filaments glow white hot and produce light. The energy can also defog a window or can be used to provide circuit protection from excessive current flow.
